Today Apple has announced the next iteration of there Mac OS, since switching last year from there conventional naming scheme (Think Snow leopard, Mountain Lion) to Mavericks they will continue to use Californian Landmarks. Introducing ‘Yosemite’, a fairly familiar looking OS but with a fresh elegant design more in line with last years flatter iOS 7 update. And to that tune it seems to be creating a whole new relationship between apps from both the iPhone & iPad to enhance the end user of OS X Yosemite. (more…)

Facebook unveiled its latest effort at engaging users today, a new iPhone app called Paper that will be released Monday 3rd of February. Paper looks like a cross between your existing Facebook news feed and a news reader app, with both status updates from friends and news stories. The app forgoes buttons and menus in favour of simple swiping gestures. Instead of the standard news feed you see large images, auto-playing videos, and status updates that fill the display.
